I am a researcher in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at DLR (German Aerospace Center), where I have been working since 2026. Within the Institute of Frontier Materials, I am part of the DataMat team, focusing on AI for Science and data‑driven methods for materials research.
Before joining DLR, I worked as a research scientist at CEA, concentrating on generative AI. Prior to that, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Inria, in the RobotLearn team led by Xavier Alameda-Pineda in Grenoble, and earlier in the Flowers team under Pierre‑Yves Oudeyer in Bordeaux. I worked on Reinforcement Learning, Robotics, and automated diversity exploration.
I completed my PhD in the Neural Computation Unit of Kenji Doya at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) on Reinforcement Learning. I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Cognitive Science from the University of Osnabrück.
Before entering academia, I trained as a certified software developer through a three‑year vocational program in Germany and later worked independently as a software developer during my undergraduate studies.
My research page lists some of my ongoing and completed research projects.
A chronological list of papers and other documents is on my publications page.
You can also find a list of software packages I worked on on my software page.
